- You will enter the payment information including the account number, credit card details and payment amount.
- You will also be asked to confirm to pay a convenience fee.
- Once all the information is entered, click on "Make Payment".
- You will be provided with a confirmation number if the transaction is successful.
- By telephone payment:Dial 1-877-281-2063 and you will be linked to a secure automated telephone payment system, powered by our bill payment partner, Paymentus.
- You will enter the payment information including the account number, credit card details and payment amount.
- You will be prompted to confirm that you have agreed to pay a convenience fee.
- Then you will be provided with a confirmation number if the transaction is successful.

How will my payment be confirmed?
Payment by either method will be made known to Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. instantaneously therefore, if you wish, you may converse with NPEI customer service staff immediately after making a payment. Call 1-877-270-3938 to do so.
Why is a convenience fee required?
There are several low or no-cost means to pay your bill at Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. These include, pre-authorized payment, equal payment plan, 24-hour drop box locations, TelePayment, by mail, and payment by cash, cheque, or debit card is accepted at our NPEI head office. Even so, many customers still prefer to pay by credit card. Credit card companies charge businesses like Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. a percentage of the payment for processing it. As a regulated utility, the entire amount of your payment is spoken for - some of the payment goes to the generators, some to the transmitters, some to the market operator and some for debt retirement. Less than 20% of your payment stays with Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc.. Therefore, to be fair to all customers, we have to ensure that the users of the credit card service pay for the service.
How much will I be paying in conveniences fees?
Customers may make payments for transaction amounts up to $1,500.00 and a fee of $5.95 per $200.00 amount will automatically calculate. For payment transaction amounts larger than $1,500.00, you will be required to repeat the transaction. The examples below will be illustrative.
Can you give me some payment examples?
If you wish to make a credit card payment of $150.00 click on the Continue button above or telephone 1-877-281-2063. You will be prompted to input your account number, credit card number along with the expiry date and the payment amount of $150.00. You will be asked to acknowledge that you agree to pay the convenience fee of $5.95 along with the payment. If you agree, your credit card will be charged $155.95 ($150.00 + $5.95). You will receive a confirmation number.
Similarly, if you wish to make a credit card payment of $325.00, the payment will occur in one transaction, however the $5.95 convenience fee will be charged twice - once for the first $200.00 amount and once again for the $125.00 amount. Simply click on the Continue button above or telephone 1-877-281-2063. You will be prompted to input your account number, credit card details and the amount you wish to pay, in this case $325.00. You will be asked to acknowledge that you agree to pay the convenience fee of $11.90 (2 x $5.95) along with the payment. If you agree, your credit card will be charged $336.90 ($325.00 + $11.90). You will receive a confirmation number.
Similarly, a payment of $550.00 will automatically attract the applicable convenience fee of $17.85 (3 x $5.95).
