Highlights of 2013 Capital Projects

To ensure that our valued customers have power and “lights stay on”, Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc (NPEI) must replace or upgrade aging electrical equipment and install new equipment to ensure increased demand is met as our communities continue to grow and develop. Annually, NPEI sets out a capital budget to replace aged distribution system assets including poles, electrical hardware and underground systems. In addition to these capital projects, NPEI completes on-going maintenance on poles, switches, transformers, underground equipment, and tree trimming.
