NPEI Encouraging Customers To Remain Vigilant Regarding Door-to-Door Sales

Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. (NPEI) is reminding customers to be extremely cautious regarding any door-to-door sales of electrical equipment and services, including home battery storage. Please contact NPEI before signing any contracts to make sure that the proper processes are being followed.
Battery storage is considered a Distributed Energy Resource (DER), and our Engineering Department assesses and approves the connection of all DER systems to our distribution system. The first step is to complete a Preliminary Consultation Information Form. This form can be found here.
If you have already installed a DER, including a home battery storage system, and have not yet completed the proper forms with NPEI, please contact us as soon as possible.
