NPEI Inviting Public Participation in Electrical Safety Awareness Survey

At Niagara Peninsula Energy Inc. the safety of our customers is of the utmost importance. As an organization we seek to educate and inform our customers how to remain safe while dealing with electricity. NPEI will continue this education as we begin conducting our 2026 Electricity Safety Awareness Survey. This survey helps us to evaluate our efforts and advises where we could make improvements in informing the public about electrical safety.

The survey will be completed over the telephone as well as online.

Starting Wednesday, October 14, 2026, and continuing through October, UtilityPulse, on behalf of NPEI, will be randomly contacting customers and members of the public (18 years and older) to assess the communities' understanding of how to stay safe around electricity and electrical equipment.

We are asking customers to please be aware that they may receive a telephone call asking that they participate in the survey. The survey will last approximately 10 minutes, and we would greatly appreciate your participation if you are contacted to complete the survey. Please know that that if you do receive a phone call regarding the survey, it is not a scam. Participants will never be asked to provide identifying details, such as phone numbers, home addresses, banking or credit card information.

Providing this education is important to NPEI because electrical safety impacts everyone in our communities. We encourage everyone to gather your children and family and complete the survey together to educate yourselves about the importance of electrical safety.

Thank you for your patience and your participation in this survey.
